Why Noti-FLY

Founder Perspective

Before starting Noti-FLY, I spent six years working for a paving contractor, responsible for roadway projects and public notification requirements. I saw firsthand how ineffective the current system is.

While contractors are typically tasked with notifying the traveling public, notification takes time and money. Mailers are distributed inconsistently, residents are frequently missed, and schedules change after notifications are sent.

Noti-FLY was built to close that gap by providing a clearer, more reliable, and more accountable approach to construction notification.

The Problem with Traditional Notification

Construction notifications are often static, inconsistent, and quickly outdated. Flyers are distributed once, schedules change frequently, and residents are left without a reliable source of real-time information.

Contractors Are Incentivized to Minimize Notification

Public notification costs time and money, and contractors are often motivated to meet only minimum requirements. This can result in rushed, incomplete, or ineffective outreach with little consideration for resident experience.

Agencies Carry the Public Accountability

Even when contractors handle notification, agencies are ultimately responsible for responding to resident concerns. Without visibility into how or when notification occurred, agencies are left managing the fallout.

Limited Oversight and Verification

Agencies or contractors often have no practical way to verify whether notification was completed properly or whether residents were adequately informed, creating gaps in transparency and accountability.

Contractors Remain Responsible

Noti-FLY does not replace contractor-led communication. Contractors remain responsible for day-to-day construction updates, while Noti-FLY provides a structured, reliable way to deliver those updates with agency visibility and oversight.

How Noti-FLY Changes the Model

Noti-FLY provides a managed, location-specific notification service that delivers real-time updates directly to residents while giving agencies clear oversight-without requiring dashboards, apps, or new systems.

Designed for Long-Term Construction Projects

Noti-FLY is built for projects that span weeks or months. A single mailer is sent early in the project, allowing residents to opt in once and stay connected for the full duration—receiving updates as schedules, access, and impacts change.

A Scalable Solution Across Projects

From paving and utility work to long-term corridor projects, Noti-FLY can be applied anywhere consistent, reliable communication with the public is required.

Predictable, Documented Public Outreach

Noti-FLY creates a clear record of when notifications are sent, how residents engage, and how communication is managed. This helps agencies and contractors demonstrate consistent outreach, support internal reporting, and maintain documentation without additional administrative effort.
